Fashion Brand Developer was founded by Renay Wells — a fashion industry professional with more than 26 years experience across apparel design, sourcing, technical product development and global manufacturing.
Beginning her career within the Australian fashion industry in the 1990s, Renay worked across swimwear, surf and lifestyle sectors before expanding into international sourcing and offshore production management.
Her experience spans Australia, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, India, the Philippines, Turkey, Peru and the United States — working directly with manufacturers, suppliers and development teams across all stages of the apparel lifecycle.
Living and working in Shanghai provided firsthand experience within global manufacturing environments, including factory auditing, supplier communication, garment construction, technical development and production management from sampling through to bulk manufacture.
Over time, this industry experience evolved into a broader focus on sustainability, systems thinking and responsible production practices within the global textile and apparel industry.
Alongside industry practice, Renay completed a Bachelor of Business and MBA, and is currently undertaking a Master of Environment specialising in sustainable business.
This multidisciplinary background allows Fashion Brand Developer to bridge:
