About Us

With her career beginning in a buying office for a major Australian retailer, Renay Wells has been in the design and development of apparel and accessories, since 1996.

Designing for some of the biggest swim/surf brands globally, Renay has travelled the globe extensively for buying trips, production meetings and trade show industry events.

Returning to Australian 2008, after living and working in Shanghai, China and the Los Angeles fashion district.  Renay started freelancing and consulting to start-ups and already established brands. 

A passionate entrepreneur, and ‘swimsuit designer‘, Renay launched her own designer brand ‘maneater swimwear’ globally in 2010, originally creating one of a kind pieces for editoral photoshoots. Expanding offerings of the brand in 2016, MissManeater Swim was born!

With a passion for sharing her expansive knowledge, with up-and-coming or globally recognised, established brands, Renay offers freelancing services as the Fashion Brand Developer.

Undertaking a Bachelor of Business in 2018, she recognised her entrepreneurial mindset and passion for new business ventures.

In addition to international and asian business, cultural studies expanded her knowledge base to a comphrensive rational.

Commencing post-graduate studies in a Master of Business Administration in 2021, Renay has been inspired and motivated to make a change within her industry, determined to put an end to ‘greenwashing’.

Social justice issues and environmental degradation, ignited the need to see and  make changes.  Renay entered the political arena as the Queensland Greens candidate for the seat of Fisher in 2022.

With the intention of saving the planet, Renay’s personal focus is on the reduction of polyester and synthetic fabrications being used within the industry.  And in turn the reduction of fossil fuels and emissions within the supply-chain.
